I was curious as to what everyone was using in their boot camp programs to get awesome results with their clients?

We use Workout Muse music interval training systems and run 5 different stations of functional movements. Each camp goes through 4 rounds before a break and ending with a finisher for the day.

Any new cool tools or movements anybody has found or is using in their camps with great success?

We use a variety of functional movement patterns with our boot-campers. Here are a couple of simple things we have found to be effective:

1. 4 Cone Lunge & Run Drill - Set up three cones 5 yds apart, then place the fourth cone 15 yds away from the third cone. Start your first group at cone#1-perform alternating leg lunges for total of 10 reps, then run to cone #4, back to cone#2- perform 12 right leg lunges then run the cone #4, back to cone #3-perform 12 left leg lunges then run to cone #4 to complete drill. The cool thing about the drill is you can work with large groups of people @ one time or have the drill setup as a station by appointing one person to lead the drill by counting for every one.

2. Continious Cardio Drill - Set up two cones 30 yds apart, determine how long you want the drill to last ( between 5 to 8 minutes) then start the group, as they move between the cones you call out movement commands: run, sprint, back pedal, side shuffle, jumping jacks, push ups, lunges, run, sprint....etc whatever you want them to do but they can not stop moving until the alloted time has elasped. Again the beauty of this type of drill, you can train a large group of people at one time with minimal need for technique instruction.

Hope this satisfy you!!!!

I have an obstacle course with an agility ladder as the first obstacle coming out into bounding through six hoops and then tapping the cones as they shuffel side to side. They then hit the ground through a 10 ft low crawl tunnel and out to a balance beam (2x4) 10ft long about a foot off the ground . Jog down field, a soccer field , goal to goal and back through the obstacle course. then to band work - Squat /press (1 min)- bicep curls(1 min) tricep ext(1min)- core work on the mats - med ball side to side-crunches- leg raises (partner pushing the feet back down)and then focus mit drills from on their backs(sit up- punches side to side. Each of these drills are 1 min in length.Water break for 1min then do it again. 3/4 rounds.
Question! Are there any schools out there for Bootcamp certs or are they all on line. I have a basic fitness inst through Cooper Inst from several yrs ago. Thanks
John
